Article – Californian massage

Developed in Esalen in California around the 1950s/60s, Californian massage is part of the family of psycho-corporeal massages allowing work that can be a key to working on oneself.
It is characterized by long sensual movements (in the sense of feeling and feeling, and not sexual), soft and harmonious, slowly, with pauses, thus allowing the recipient to tame what he feels, enveloping, thus promoting pleasure and well-being.
We massage the whole body with massage oil. Different specific techniques are used: effleurage, friction, kneading, etc.
